Several over the counter products currently exist and consists of Minoxidil at a concentration of  2% to 5% . Some patients may benefit from a  personalized compounded preparation determined by their physician, which includes Finasteride.
The most popular prescribed compound that we prepare is Finasteride 0.25% + Minoxidil 10%. This formulation is modifiable based on patient response and tolerability. The formulation can also be made into a solution if preferred

The combination of the 2 drugs maximizes the success increasing hair growth and reversing hair loss. Most patients see results after three months of once to twice daily use. To see an optimal outcome, the treatment should be used for at least 1 year. You must be patient and committed even after you start to see results. Persistence is key.

The preparation is formulated to be gentle on the scalp due to low irritation profile.

The foam is dispensed in an airless pump with a metered dose of 0.5 mL . The bottle is light resistant and essential to create a dense and creamy foam when combined with a quality foam base.

Base

  • Finasteride prevents hair loss by blocking an enzyme called 5-alpha-reductase. This enzyme crates a hormone called DHT, which causes hair loss. By blocking this enzyme, Finasteride prevents this process from occurring and stops active hair loss in its tracks.

  • Minoxidil is a vasodilator, meaning, a medication that helps improve blood flow. It’s known that this helps hair growth by allowing more oxygen, blood, and nutrients to reach hair follicles through more relaxed blood vessels, so your hair gets a max dose of all the good stuff.

  • The foam base used is developed with AnaGain - patented infredient developed from organic pea sprout extract to nourish the hair life cycle and help preserve thickness.
